 LSS: Tuwing umuulan at kapiling ka.... Well tag ulan na naman at syempre pag tag ulan masarap kumain. Isa sa paborito nating mga pinoy ang champorado. Sabayan mo pa ng tuyo di ba. Yun nga lang hindi pwede ang tuyo sa opisina at dahil agad agad ang pagnanais kong kumain ng champorado kaya tinawagan ko agad si Tapa King.

Hmmmm.... mas gusto ko kapag mainit ang aking champorado at hindi masyadong matamis. Sarap! ;-)

Sa halagang 49 pesos may champorado ka na. Kaya lang nung isang beses na umorder kami para sa lahat halos puro sabaw kaya pinabalik namin at pinalitan naman nila. Aba dapat lang noh, eh di sana nagkape na lang kami kung sabaw lang ibibigay.

fUN aNd LaUgHteR at ViLLa eScUdeRO

Late 2011 when our nurse sister lance decided to go to another country to work, since then we started to plan for our get together. Originally planned for a week in boracay in September 2012 but for some reasons her vacation was moved earlier. And so we just decided to have an overnight bonding at Villa Escudero.

Came July 17, as early as 5:30am we are on our way to Jam Liner Station in Kamuning. We asked the taxi driver to drop us at the nearest Jolibee so we can have our breakfast. 

We waited almost an hour for the bus to get full. Bus fare costs us Php 154.00 each. And we left Cubao past 7am, so we went thru Edsa's traffic rush hour. The travel time from Cubao to the drop point to Villa Escudero took us 3 long hours. We dont mind the waiting time, dahil pag kami ang magkakasama walang sayang na oras. In fact sa bus pa lang wala na kaming ginawa kundi magkwentuhan at magtawanan, samahan pa kami ng makulit na batang papampam ayun sobrang ingay namin sa bus. Plus point din sa amin ang pagkakaroon ng wifi internet connection sa loob ng bus kaya buhay na buhay kami.  

Makatapos ang di mabilang na pagtatanong kay kuya kundoktor,  sa wakas nakita na namin ang aming pakay.

ThunderBird Poro Point

For this year, we went up north for our June lakwatsa. La Union was our first destination. June 8 Friday we checked in at this highly reviewed Thunderbird Poro Point. Checking in was a breeze though there's several groups ahead of us.

Enough of the talking and let me take you to Thunderbird Poro Point La Union.

I wasnt able to request for a King Size Bed but it turns out 2 beds are better since we have a super active baby.

BeNnOk'S 2nD BdaY cELeBRatiON - daY 1

Last October 19, 2011 was the 2nd birthday of our unico hijo baby bennok. Since we no longer want a birthday party for various reasons, napagkasunduan namin ni daddy bee na mag out of town na lang kami. Then another Bohol trip with the family came in. 13 kaming lahat, 12 adults and 1 turning two baby. Ito na yata ang pinaka magastos na birthday ni bennok. From airtickets, transfers, accommodation to food, all expense.

Tagaytay in December

Among the months of the year, December is my favorite. Aside from the fact that almost everyone is happy at this time of the year, maybe because of the bonus season and also the favorite time of the kids, this also happens to be my birth month. Kaya rin siguro masayahin akong tao dahil pinanganak ako ng panahong masaya ang mga tao. Well, speaking based from the fact that almost everyone I knew who were born on this month is like me, jolly and fun loving person. ;-)

Last December 2010 we celebrated my 30^th birthday in Bicol. Will do a separate post about that 30^th birthday celebration, wherein we toured Bicol Region, visited Mayon Volcano, Cagsawa Ruins, Lignon Hill, the old church, CWC and SM Naga before partying with my cousins in JPang. All expense paid trip by my ex-boyfriend,  and so December 2011 birthday is not that splendor anymore. 

A big thanks to Dealgrocer, for I was able to score an overnight stay at a Premier room with buffet at Taal Vista Hotel last November 2011. So as soon as I got the voucher I immediately reserved the room.

Exactly on the day of my birthday, we were in Taal Vista hotel to celebrate. We were checked in as early as 11 am.

I was born in the beautiful province of Jose Panganiban Camarines Norte. Kaya hindi pwedeng kalimutan o balewalain ko ang lugar na ito. Lalo na kung walang budget para sa isang mala boracay beach vacation. That's why when we realized that Holy Week 2012 will be a long vacation, in a flash, undoubtedly, we chose this place to have a break.

My generous aunt once again serves as our host for this long vacation. At dahil bakasyon, wala kaming walang ibang ginawa kungdi kumain, matulog, mag gala at magpa picture. This post will show some of these pictures and some stories behind this pictures.

My family from my father side came from Brgy. Osmena, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte. Sadly, our favorite friend google didn't know much about my hometown.

Baguio 2009

Another place we intend to visit this year is Baguio. I am currently planning our itinerary for our June 2012 vacation and it includes at least 2 nights in Baguio. March 2007 was my first time to step in this cold city up north. Myself and daddy bee only had a daytour back then.Our 2nd visit was in February 2009 as our company outing. We rented a coaster and transient house for 2 nights stay. Here are some of the pictures of our Baguio 2009 visit.

Finally.....BORACAY

Oh! This post has been sitting here in my drafts since August 2011. So please forgive if some facts are no longer accurate as this Boracay visit happened last June 2011.

As part of our wedding anniversary celebration, this year we decided to go to Boracay. Since we've never been to this place so daddy bee and I agreed as early as February to look for good deals for a Boracay vacation.  Originally dad and I was scheduled for June 12-14 travel. And as usual we've decided to bring baby bennok and we thought of spending more days in the island will be a good way to spend our anniversary and vacation. And so our vacation was extended till June 17.

oNe gOOd fRiDaY iN CaLaGuaS ;-)

As part of our Bicol Vacation this year, I personally decided to include the visit to Calaguas Island.  Originally I calendared Calaguas on the 3^rd day of April, which was a Tuesday. But our first days in JPANG were raining, our schedule was moved and I almost feared it won’t materialize. Plus the fact that I was quoted a whopping 5k for an overnight transfers to and from Calaguas which is way beyond our purses and our supposed companions are not sure if they are joining so I almost give up on Calaguas. Glad there’s a family scheduled to spend their vacation in what they call Calauat island. According to my cousin Calauat ang tawag nila sa Calaguas. I did not bother to ask why. ;-) I inquired if it’s possible that we just join their trip and they’ll just drop us at the Mahabang Buhangin then we will just take the public transpo the next day. At dahil mababait sila, syempre pumayag naman. 

So here comes April 6, Good Friday.

bOhOL bEE FaRm

 as promised in my balik sa bohol post, here are the images and some info from our bohol bee farm experience.

so here is our room, beehive suite #2. we were originally booked for a bungalow but upon arrival and getting inside the room, we decided to upgrade for a bigger room. actually i was hoping for a free upgrade coz based from what i have read also from online blogs, but unfortunately we were upgraded but with a fee. but it's okay, ill just hope that ms. vicky wallace of bohol bee farm would eventually gave us free room upgrade when we decided to go to bohol again. ;-)

auntie lola enjoyed her poses around the farm. well, she have that attitude of assuming unlikely positions in front of the camera. ;-)

SeCRet ReCiPe

 

it was May 2011 when Ensogo offered this Secret Recipe voucher. me, a self confessed always on a budget foodie, knowing that I am not good in cooking =D, wants to try new restaurant and new grub, immediately snaffled 2 vouchers of this. then came one Saturday of May, we just passed by SR Megamall branch and inquired if we can use the said vouchers without prior reservation. and luckily, after the SR staffs maybe convinced their manager, we were allowed to dine and use our coupons.

We ordered 1 serving of their bestseller singapore laksa; well, that was according to the attendant. The serving is good to be shared and daddy bee was impressed and gave his thumb of approval right after tasting the laksa. It is a spicy, tasting noodle soup.

 since the laksa is spicy, we also ordered spaghetti bolognese for our baby bee. just to warn you, there was nothing to be raved about after eating their bolognese. as for me it was just almost the same as other's spaghetti. actually, my mom do cook the best tasting spaghetti for me and also agreed by dady bee. ;-)

 and this was my drink, lemon shake.

for the dessert, since Secret Recipe is more known for their cakes, and so we opted for chocolate cheese, being one of the most talked about cake of SR in the cyberspace. and truly, this was one of the reasons why anyone would go back to Secret Recipe.

as for the price, we were able to use our 2 vouchers to pay for our orders, so more or less it reached PHP1200. bit pricey and that's the good thing with these vouchers. ;-) 

BaLiK Sa BOHOL

we're almost through with the first half of this year. and as usual i am lagging with my blog posts. this post was for our company outing last february 2011. just a little info. since we celebrated our first wedding anniversary in bohol last june 2010 and my officemates also wants to see and experience the beauty of bohol, finally they agreed to shoulder some of their expenses just to have our company outing in bohol. 

because of budget issues they booked their tickets with cebu pacific in one of its seat sales. they chose cebu as their entry and exit airport so it eats a lot of their time. as for me, my husband and aunt as we voluntarily booked our tickets via Phil Airlines which is of course more pricey than theirs.

we booked the earliest flight to tagbilaran on feb 24 that gave us a whole day ahead of them as they opted for afternoon flights via cebu. so we were at the airport as early as 3am for our 5:30am flight. we decided not to bring our precious baby bennok for our return flight is via cebu airport and this will be our first time to ride the ferry from bohol to cebu. and we dont know how will the experience be. so instead of baby, we brought teddy since he was not with us yet during our first trip to bohol. 

at the airport, we already missed baby. so we spend our time goofing around the camera with teddy.

aMaZinG BennOk!

my baby, bennok is only 18 months old. and yet he already know the letters of the Alphabet. he can also recognize numbers from 1 to ten. please watch for the video to see for yourself.

YaKiMiX pOdiUM -- 2nd ViSit

After our first yakimix experience, daddy bee and myself really wanted to go back there and have another taste of everything it has to offer. Last April 27 was our second visit, but this time we went for a weekday lunch buffet. And as planned we did not bring our precious baby for us to eat freely, hehehe (bad mommy).
