fUN aNd LaUgHteR at ViLLa eScUdeRO

Late 2011 when our nurse sister lance decided to go to another country to work, since then we started to plan for our get together. Originally planned for a week in boracay in September 2012 but for some reasons her vacation was moved earlier. And so we just decided to have an overnight bonding at Villa Escudero.

Came July 17, as early as 5:30am we are on our way to Jam Liner Station in Kamuning. We asked the taxi driver to drop us at the nearest Jolibee so we can have our breakfast.

We waited almost an hour for the bus to get full. Bus fare costs us Php 154.00 each. And we left Cubao past 7am, so we went thru Edsa's traffic rush hour. The travel time from Cubao to the drop point to Villa Escudero took us 3 long hours. We dont mind the waiting time, dahil pag kami ang magkakasama walang sayang na oras.

ThunderBird Poro Point

For this year, we went up north for our June lakwatsa. La Union was our first destination. June 8 Friday we checked in at this highly reviewed Thunderbird Poro Point. Checking in was a breeze though there's several groups ahead of us.

Enough of the talking and let me take you to Thunderbird Poro Point La Union.
we stayed at Room 208.

I wasnt able to request for a King Size Bed but it turns out 2 beds are better since we have a super active baby.

Seeing this after the exhausting long travel was a breather.

BeNnOk'S 2nD BdaY cELeBRatiON - daY 1

Last October 19, 2011 was the 2nd birthday of our unico hijo baby bennok. Since we no longer want a birthday party for various reasons, napagkasunduan namin ni daddy bee na mag out of town na lang kami. Then another Bohol trip with the family came in. 13 kaming lahat, 12 adults and 1 turning two baby. From airtickets, transfers, accommodation to food, all expense.

Tagaytay in December

Among the months of the year, December is my favorite. Aside from the fact that almost everyone is happy at this time of the year, maybe because of the bonus season and also the favorite time of the kids, this also happens to be my birth month. Well, speaking based from the fact that almost everyone I knew who were born on this month is like me, jolly and fun loving person. ;-)

Last December 2010 we celebrated my 30th birthday in Bicol. Will do a separate post about that 30th birthday celebration, wherein we toured Bicol Region, visited Mayon Volcano, Cagsawa Ruins, Lignon Hill, the old church, CWC and SM Naga before partying with my cousins in JPang. All expense paid trip by my ex-boyfriend,  and so December 2011 birthday is not that splendor anymore.

A big thanks to Dealgrocer, for I was able to score an overnight stay at a Premier room with buffet at Taal Vista Hotel last November 2011. So as soon as I got the voucher I immediately reserved the room.

Exactly on the day of my birthday, we were in Taal Vista hotel to celebrate. We were checked in as early as 11 am.

Finally.....BORACAY

Oh! This post has been sitting here in my drafts since August 2011. So please forgive if some facts are no longer accurate as this Boracay visit happened last June 2011.

As part of our wedding anniversary celebration, this year we decided to go to Boracay. Since we've never been to this place so daddy bee and I agreed as early as February to look for good deals for a Boracay vacation.  Originally dad and I was scheduled for June 12-14 travel. And as usual we've decided to bring baby bennok and we thought of spending more days in the island will be a good way to spend our anniversary and vacation. And so our vacation was extended till June 17.

Practicing his parking skills at Terminal 2 boarding gates.

Pacifying the hyperactive baby.

I opted for the package offered by Boracay Regency, the REGENCY ESCAPADE that includes accommodation, full board meals and transfers, a stress free package. ;-)

YaKiMiX pOdiUm

Last Saturday, April 9 we've got to try Yakimix. Podium branch is the one nearest to us. Ive been longing to eat here since I read the good reviews about this buffet restaurant. We were on our way to Robinsons Galleria to use one of the coupons that I bought online when I noticed that it cant be dealt during holidays. And because of the huge crowd in SM Megamall we decided to go to Podium instead. And upon checking the restaurants we decided to try this yakimix.

Price per head is 580 since its dinner time on a Saturday. We were welcomed by the receptionist and seated away from the buffet table. Its ok as our 1 yr and 6 months old baby is with us. Our server asked us on what our  preferred drinks for 65 pesos only, bottomless. They got wide array of drinks, from soda to fruits juices, and so we opt for mango juice as we have a baby who will share our drinks. The set up was ok, the typical buffet style. The choices are good as it includes raw fish and meat. I so love the grilling as you can see with your own eyes as how tender and cooked you want for your food.

Here are my two benjamins while they were cooking our food.

Taking pictures of the buffet is not allowed so we just tried to get at least one of each viand but unfortunately i got tired of my super active baby so I wasn't able to get a picture of each plate that were brought to the table. I was just disappointed that the podium branch didnt have high chairs for toddlers/babies. It could have been more convenient for the three of us if they have chairs for super active babies like mine.

For the dessert, there is a huge collection of ice cream and cakes. But what kept me from coming back in the dessert area was the gummy bears! hehehehe, i sooooo love their gummy bears.

Overall, the money went out of my pocket was worth all the food and flavor daddy bee, baby and myself got to savored. And as early as now we are planning when to come back here but without baby bennok for us to fully utilize their buffet. And hopefully will get more pictures on our next visit.

OuR bOhOL tRip......3Rd DaY

On our third day wala ako masyado kwento.

I was able to negotiate to W&G at dahil hindi na nila kami na pick up sa airport because we were picked up by Kuya Tatsky, one way transfer na lang binayaran ko for PINR transfers. Daytour per pax costs 450 pero ok lang kasi 350 is consummable on food and drinks naman. So sa aming tatlo 1050 agad ang dapat naming ispend for our lunch.

eto ako..sunog! ;-) but still the view is breathtaking

haaayyyy....sobrang ganda talaga dito sa PINR.. and according to daddy bee isa ito sa magiging dahilan ng pagbalik nya dito. ;-D

OuR bOhOL tRip......2nD DaY

To continue with our Bohol Trip last June 2010, our second day started very early. Call time was 5:30am so the night before we informed Whites and Greens that we will be having our breakfast around 5am and that’s one thing I want sa Whites and Greens madali silang kausap at halos lahat ng request ng guests pinipilit nilang ibigay. Like on our second night kinailangan na naming maglinis ng feeding bottles ng aming baby bennok.

So going back to the sea tour, 5:30 am and the four of us are on the boat to the chase dolphins. Heheh really chase the playing dolphins. The sky is a bit makulimlim at that time maybe because the sun hasn’t completely up at that time. Marami na ring mga Bangka sa lugar and we were welcomed by playing dolphins. We are not so lucky enough to have pictures of jumping dolphins kaya nag video na lang kami.
So our next destination was the balicasag island. Sa kasamaang palad I don’t have proof pictures that we went to Balicasag. At syempre may bayad yun, hahahahha! Napakasaya! Lalo na pag may hawak kang tinapay at lalapitan nila yung kamay mo that you almost touched them, haaayyyy napakasarap ng feeling. And so I missed my baby. Di bale pag malaki na sya babalik kami ng bohol and I let them experience the fish feeding. Snorkelling is also one of the things na kahit araw araw kong gawin hindi ako magsasawa, aside from swimming. I remember my first snorkeling was in Puerto Galera in 2004, super enjoy din dun kaya lang nung bumalik kami nung 2006 hindi na maganda ang corals at madumi na yung snorkeling sites sa Galera. 

Our snorkeling lasted for almost two hours o mahigit pa. Then we proceed to Virgin Island. Maaga pa nun kaya medyo lubog pa yung ibang part nung isla. For me this place is not ideal for swimming lalo na pag low tide. Ok pag high tide.

Nung nagsawa na kaming magpicture at marami na ring nagdadatingan we decided to go back to the resort. Kasi its almost lunch time na rin. We didn’t eat at Balicasag kc feeling naming mahal ang pagkain doon. So we went back to the shore in between Whites & Greens and Dumaluan.

So we just prepared the things we need to bring then we asked the W&G personnel on possible transfers to Bohol Beach Club. Wala daw saka malapit lang naman daw so we decided to brave thru the scorching sun at naglakad mula W&G to Bohol Beach Club. BBC has three pools. But for daytour guests yung isa sa may unahan lang pala ang pwede gamitin. We didn’t know that until we went back after eating. Heheheheh. Kami pa, we’re disciplined individuals (naks!) Magkaiba price pag weekdays and weekends. Part of it ay consumable pero medyo mahal pa rin binayaran ko when we had lunch at their restaurant. Kaya after eating nagpa picture ako kay dadi bee, heheheh! Then we spend the whole afternoon swimming kaya negra na ako.
